Event Summary | This course is designed for school finance staff and aims to give an overview of the processes involved in budget planning and monitoring, and to raise awareness of reporting responsibilities both internally and externally. | ||||||
Event description | The course covers different funding sources and explains how to understand the School Block Funding and S251 Statement. We will be focusing on the methods and processes of budgeting, and effective ways of monitoring the budget during the year, including reporting to governors. There will be a demonstration of the Essex LA Budget planning tools and exercises to help embed your understanding. There will be a break for lunch at approx 12 noon. |

Additional information | Please have a copy of your current Schools Block Funding Statement and S251 Statement with you. Displayed fees are priced per delegate and are subject to VAT The course will be delivered via Microsoft Teams online in order to mitigate the risk of cross contamination of having staff from different schools in one room together. |
